First love in God

I was reminded its so important to keep our relationship with God fresh. It is possible for us to be so familiar with God that, we stop being excited anymore. But the truth is, we can never be so familiar with God. There's always something new about God, how can we fully understand the almighty creator God, unless He reveals Himself to us?

How will God reveal Himself to us, if we do not continually seek Him? One revelation I got this week was, the reason why God kept His hiddeness, is so that we need to continually seek Him. If God had reveal everything so plainly to us, there's no need of seeking Him. But God wants us to be active in this relationship, passiveness is unbiblical.

In Revelation 2:4 says, "But I have this against you, that you have left your first love". The good news is, the bible didn't say we lost our first love, we left. By that we can still have a choice to come back to God again. Let's renew our relationship with God, go to Him once again with passionate prayer and worship. Remember the first time you received Jesus into your heart, remember the love you have for God. The beautiful thing is we love God because He first loved us, He had already gave His all and He'll never leave us. God is our first love.

Create in me a new heart. I was just worshipping God in the morning, and I was reminded of this verse,
as I begin to read the verse out loud,
I felt God is telling me that this should be the way I live my life. :)

I dreamt that many worshiping God, singing this song. The presence of God just kept pouring. I woke up weeping. No matter what mountains in our lives, He can move them. God is Mighty to Save.

Increase Our Compassion

Alright! Its holidays for me!~ yay! Thank God for strength to pull through all my assessments and work. =) Yet I still feel quite heavy in my heart, many things had happened, to be honest I'm quite affected, BUT! I believe All things work out well to those who love God! I don't believe I have lost, because the battle had already been won, I'll just stick even closer to God.

Those things aside, today I attended Zone Meeting. All the leaders gathered to pray really hard for the church and the zone. Yilun shared that we should increase our compassion for people.
I didn't really take down notes, I just sat there and listen to what Yilun shared and reflecting upon it.

"If you love people, you'll never go wrong."

Our motivation for serving God, or helping people should always be LOVE. If we love people, we wouldn't mind their differences. Even if they fail to see God, we're the only ones who can show them a glimpse of God's love, by being their friend.

I want to build a Cell group with wonderful youths that are:

Spiritual

Full of compassion; Love

Generous

Excited

Purposeful

...I'll add on as I have more.

Let's continue to keep each other in prayer. =)

It's been a long time since i last updated.
I just changed the skin for my blog.

I Just drew a character and fit it on the top of the page. LOL

Im having assessments this week.
Feeling a little stretched,
But YES I can do it!
Have to hand up all my stuffs by Wednesday this week.
Chionging my work till 11pm in school.
Do pray for me. For strength and creativity.

Im Believing in God for greater things.

On sat ,we had multiplication Cg.
Some rise up, some going to.
There's so much more to come.

I believe this Cg is going to be a breakthrough CG.
Im trusting and counting on each of you.
We'll build a united loving cg that grows together as a family.

OK! Its already 05 Jan 09, and I havent update my post LOL. Anyways there's so much to look forward in 2009, I'm excited.

(29.12.08. To Those who still didn't know, I'm attached with my beloved Amelia now. Way to end 2008!)

During Vision Weekend, Pastor gave us an overview of what to expect in 2009 for the church. I looked at the paper, and almost wanted to write, "it's gonna be 2010 very soon" LOL. But really, each year seems to get faster and faster, sometimes I find it hard to even catch a breath.

2009 is the year I'm gonna be a Cell Group Leader, excel in my studies, balance with my family and also more intimate with Amelia. (more to this list) A little overwhelmed, but I know all things work out well to those who love Him(God).

2008 was great, 2009 will be the best yet! Let's work hard and have a fruitful year!

Today I went to meet up with a client, apparently he is the boss who started Settlers Cafe. He's working on many games, and I probably got the chance to work with him. I'm quite excited because I'll be able to work on character/mascot designs for officials. Exactly what I prayed for. Thank God =).

After that I rushed down for the discipleship class by Elaine, it was awesome! Really feel everyone will be challenged to have passion for the lost. Then we went shopping together, Elaine, Jason and Crystal. It was a great fellowship. =)

Passion in Life?

I receive a call from my ITE lecturer a few days ago, was ask to go back ITE to say something to the students there. I didn't really know what to expect or to share, so I went there today not exactly prepared.

While on my way there, I was reflecting about my week and also morning's Prayer time with God. The word PASSION just kept ringing in my head; passion for God, passion for the lost, passion for art, passion for etc.

Was reminded that everything in life needs passion; or the love for something, to motivate us to move on, continue with what we're doing.

For example, a christian life, it can be tough at times, but what pull us through is the love of God, and how we repond to Him with love. And that passion to please God, to hold on to this relationship with Him, motivates us to continue on with this walk.
Passion is an energy or force that drives us to overcome the most impossible situation. Without it, you'll probably be lost.

So with that in mind, I went and shared about passion with the students. I'm glad God reminded me of these, I could see their eyes sparkle when I shared with them, as if they found their answer to the boring routine of projects. I believe that what God inspired me to share with them, WILL change their life.

So if you're somehow tired of what you're doing or things becomes a drag, its time to renew your passion, renewing the passion with God.
